Terragon presenting at Green Marine
On Wednesday, May 31st at 10:30 AM, Terragon, or more specifically Nicole Poirier, will be presenting at the Green Marine Green Tech 2017 Environmental conference in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Dr. Poirier will be giving a demonstration of Terragon’s Electrochemical WETT-O Bilgewater Treatment System. WETT-O (Wastewater Electrochemical Treatment Technology for Oily Water), is the first Type Approved electrochemical treatment system for marine oily bilge water. This technology is especially attractive for ship owners due to the fact that it is fully-automated with on/off capability and rapid start-up, and does not use filters, adsorption media, membranes, chemicals or biological treatment. Come join Nicole and Terragon at Green Marine 2017, and discover the future of shipboard waste water management.
“Green Marine is a voluntary environmental certification program for the North American marine industry. It is a rigorous, transparent and inclusive initiative that addresses key environmental issues through its 12 performance indicators. Participants are shipowners, ports, terminals, Seaway corporations and shipyards based in Canada and the United States. The program encourages its participants to reduce their environmental footprint by taking concrete actions. To receive their certification, participants must benchmark their annual environmental performance through Green Marine environmental program’s exhaustive self-evaluation guides. They also need to have their results verified by an accredited external verifier and agree to publication of their individual results.”
