Terragon is revolutionizing off-grid sustainability by developing and commercializing practical, inexpensive and environmentally safe appliances that can be used by anyone to generate energy and water from materials previously considered waste.
To date, the Company has focused on the development of two highly innovative resource recovery appliances:
MAGSTM (Micro Auto Gasification System) is a patented system used for the generation of energy and bio-char from combustible material, such as paper, plastic, packaging, wood, textiles, food waste, agricultural waste, contaminated solvents, used oils, sludges, infectious or hazardous materials, and various industrial by-products.
WETTTM (Wastewater Electrochemical Treatment Technology) is a patented system which can generate reusable water or safe- to-discharge water from greywater, sewage, oily water, bilgewater and contaminated water.
Terragon’s products enable Total Resource Utilization (TRU) habitats, where residual materials and wastewater are viewed as potential resources for the habitat if treated appropriately. Energy in the form of hot water or space heating, soil amendments and fertilizers, irrigation water, and recycled water can all be generated within the habitat using Terragon’s MAGSTM and WETTTM technologies.
When combined with renewable energy sources such as wind, solar or geothermal, TRU habitats move towards self-sufficiency and off-grid sustainability.
