Canadian Coast Guard and Royal Canadian Navy to evaluate the bilgewater treatment technology, WETT-O

Terragon Environmental Technologies Inc. is pleased to announce a contract awarded by the Build in Canada Innovation Program (BCIP) to evaluate its innovative Wastewater Electrochemical Treatment Technology for Oily Water (WETT-OTM). The technology will be evaluated by the Canadian Coast Guard and the Royal Canadian Navy. One (1) WETT-O unit will be tested at the Naval Engineering Testing Establishment (NETE) in Montreal, Quebec and a second one will be installed onboard the CCGS Earl Grey.
About WETT-OTM: WETT-OTM is a lightweight appliance that purifies oily water and is the first Type Approved electrochemical treatment system for marine oily bilgewater. The technology has previously been evaluated on commercial and government vessels and is IMO MEPC.107(49) Type-Approved and holds US Coast Guard (USCG) and Transport Canada certifications. WETT-OTM was also awarded the Lloyds North America Innovation Award in 2016 and was shortlisted for Lloyd’s Global Engineering Innovation Award in the same year.
