Andrew McArthurMr. McArthur is a naval architect and served Saint John’s Shipbuilding in management positions from general manager to president.  From 1976 to 1985, Mr. McArthur was president of Saint John Marine Consultants Ltd., and from 1978 to 1985 he was also the President of Canfin Arctic Consultants Ltd. Following his time at Saint John’s, Mr. McArthur bought the Halifax Dartmouth Shipyards and founded Halifax Dartmouth Industries, where he served as President and CEO. In 1994, he formed McArthur Associates Ltd., and in 1997 he formed Irving Shipbuilding Ltd., where he served as Vice Chairman until his retirement in 2005. He is President and CEO of McArthur Consultants Limited. Mr. McArthur is the director and Chairman of the Canadian Shipbuilding Association of Canada and a member of Lloyds Register Canadian Committee and the American Bureau of Shipping.
