Government officials meet at Terragon

On Thursday, March 2nd, Terragon Environmental Technologies Inc. was honored to host the Honourable Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development, Mr. Navdeep Bains, along with Mr. David Lametti, MP of LaSalle-Émard-Verdun, and Mr. Marc Miller, MP of Ville-Marie-Le Sud-Ouest-Île-des-Soeurs, as well as other Cabinet staff and Canada Economic Development staff. During their visit, it was announced that Terragon was one of five Montréal organizations that would benefit from a $4 million dollar investment aimed at allowing these organizations to develop the required technologies and help workers gain the necessary skills, so as to launch their products on the market more quickly.

For Terragon, this means a $210,000 support designed to help expedite the deployment and exportation of both the MAGS (Micro Auto Gasification System) and WETT (Wastewater Electrochemical Treatment Technology) systems. This visit also gave Terragon the opportunity to discuss initiatives in the north of Canada, where we envision a “Guardian Program” educating and training young Aboriginal People in the implementation, operation and maintenance of sustainable technologies that enable healthy, autonomous living in remote locations.

During the visit, Mr. David Lametti said that: “The Government of Canada’s support underscores the importance of clean technologies and the environment for Montréal’s economy. High-performing and future-facing, these organizations will continue to spread Montréal’s expertise abroad in addition to contributing to the economic growth of our region and Canada and creating jobs for the middle class.” Terragon will continue to play a leadership role in developing and commercializing clean technologies.
